Matthew 6:19-24 “Saving, Seeing, Serving”
As we continue the message of the Sermon on the Mt. we are ushered inside the new way of living as Jesus dealt with the inner man.
The sermon (a word not actually in Scripture), was delivered from the slopes above Capernaum (the town of Nahum) to His disciples and the crowd who came to hear the carpenter/rabbi. There is a marked contrast with the Law and it’s outer influence, as Jesus addressed the very heart of a believer.
It seems impossible to keep these principles but Jesus would help.
- He would GIVE HIS LIFE FOR US on the cross.
- He would GIVE HIS LIFE TO US through the Holy Spirit.
- He would GIVE HIS LIFE MESSAGE through us as the Church.
* The portion we will look at Sunday is so intriguing in its content but it is far more challenging with the present application. We will view our investments, our imperfections and our involvement. I am eager to share these truths with you. see you at church Sunday morning.
