Jesus Lessons My Mother Taught
1. No one is better than you and you’re not better than anyone else.
2. Always ask forgiveness and give forgiveness or you become a prisoner of your bitterness.
3. Stay away from alcohol. It’s ruined many a life and home. You may never become an alcoholic but the person who looks at you may fall prey to the bottle.
4. No matter how poor or hungry you are, never steal or lie.
5. Clean your house. If it has a dirt floor, sweep it. Wash your clothes and your body. You are Gods steward of both.
6. Read the Bible daily. Pray always and not just asking for things. Make a list and keep it fresh. You’re on my list son.
7. Sing often and laugh even more. Don’t be a negative nanny!
8. Tell your loved one’s you love them. They need to hear it and you need to say it. Don’t be afraid to hug.
9. Do not use bad language ever. It hurts God and others. Vulgar words are not to come from a Christians mouth.
10. Call your mother*. She won’t always be there. You can’t believe how needed and sweet your children’s voices are to a mother.
*That last one was my habit every afternoon. Calling Momma.
