The music ministry of Blackburn Chapel Baptist Church shall provide opportunities of service for the entire congregation. The Praise Team, Choir, Instrumentalists, and Sound Team all offer ways for the team members to worship and serve God with their talents and participation.
It’s not about entertainment, although that is also an outcome… everyone loves a beautiful musical rendition… but if the performance does not lead to worship of The Father, it’s all for nothing.
The music program should support and enhance the worship services at BCBC. A Spirit of Worship does not rely totally on the service music, but it does contribute greatly to the worship experience.
The music service also provides a way for congregational members to express their worship of God… not just as a spectator… but as an active participant.
